THANK YOU!  The April 16th Wine & Jazz event raised more than $8,500 for the AOS!  Record attendance, beautiful silent auction, and exciting raffle were lots of fun!  Look for more great events at the garden!

The mission of the South Florida Leadership Council is to enhance the relationship between the AOS and the Societies of the South Florida region and to identify opportunities for the local societies to mutually support and serve each other.

Membership is open to any society affiliated with the American Orchid Society meeting in the South Florida region.  Each society can participate through two voting representatives.  Usually that is the society president and/or AOS representative.

The common element that the SFLC has provided on a consistent basis is improved communication between societies, the AOS, and the orchid community of South Florida. It has also provided the AOS staff with an improved understanding of the passion that is resident in the local orchid community.

Dr. Will Riley receives the AOS Silver Medal from President Carlos Fighetti to recognize his intitiative and dedication as a founding force behind the South Florida Leadership Council.

The award was made at the SFLC-sponsored AOS Members meeting in the fall of 2007.
